Cover-19 Policy
All Customers are required to wear a face mask or covering by law whilst on our premises. This is essential and you will not be granted access to the building without a mask/covering.
If you have come in to contact with anybody showing symptoms of COVID-19, please do not put our staff at risk by continuing to attempt to hire.
Hiring Your Vehicle
When you arrive to hire your vehicle, please let us know your surname. If you have ordered by phone, you will have been asked to bring the 8 digits case-sensitive DVLA code. On arrival, please either show that code through the window or phone us with it.
If you cannot generate a DVLA licence check via the phone then we will ask you for your NI number.
Once we have been able to validate your licence, we will ask you to provide your card details for payment. We will take the hire charge payment and a £200 (£500 for first time hirers) pre-authorised deposit.
Please note, we cannot accept cash payment for the deposit. This must be paid via a credit/debit card.
Upon completion of the paperwork and successful payments, one of our rental staff will bring your vehicle to the forecourt. You will then be invited to participate in a visual damage check. You will be asked to electronically sign the visual vehicle check at this point. Unfortunately, this part of the rental process has to involve contact, we cannot avoid that.
Returning Your Vehicle
If we haven’t noticed your return, please phone us from the vehicle. A member of staff will complete an inspection of the vehicle. If all is good, we will return the pre-authorised deposit automatically. You will then be either e-mailed a copy of your receipt or it will be posted at a later date.
Our rental process operates a full tank policy, please make sure that you have fully filled the vehicle on return. If this isn’t the case, we will have to ask you to return to the fuel station. This increases unnecessary contact between our staff and yourself.
Please also note, that fuel pumps have been identified as one of the areas that this virus can be passed on. Please ensure to protect yourself by using the gloves provided at the pump when refuelling
We hope that you understand and appreciate the above process. If you have any thoughts on how we can increase safety within the process, we are happy to listen.
Regards,
Richard Cotton
