Our Vehicles

We do offer a delivery and collection service. 

Fees for this service are based on a postcode – postcode basis from our HQ in Rochdale (OL16 5DB) and are charged at £1 per mile.

Vehicles may be booked by category only. Unless availability of a specific model has been formally confirmed at the time of booking and registration number provided.

Unfortunately not as the only vehicle you can hire to sit your driving test is a dual control car which we are unable to provide.

Yes. We have a large selection of models please refer to the ‘Our Fleet’ page for examples – please contact us if this is a requirement and we will do our best to accomodate your needs.

Yes, every vehicle we supply has a full tank of fuel. Any fuel shortages will be charged at a £3 + VAT per litre refuelling surcharge.

Most vehicles have a charge point for electronic devices (phone, sat nav, etc) but some of the smaller vehicles may not. We cannot guarantee a charge point.

Unfortunatly we do not supply dual control vehicles.

Travel Restrictions

Yes, our vehicles are able to travel abroad. However, the customer must have thier own fully comprehensive insurance policy specific to the hired vehicle for the duration of rental should they wish to do so.

Foreign travel roadside assistance cover will be charged as extra.

Yes, this is fine but please let us know in advance should you wish to do so.

Please follow local council guidance for any congestion charges which may apply

All vehicles are subject to a 700 mileage allowance per week. Any excess mileage is charged at 12p + VAT per mile.

Licences/Regulations – UK & abroad

Yes, drivers must have no more than 2 minor convictions in the last 5 years, totalling no more than 6 penalty points, and must have been driving for at least 12 months.

7-9 Penalty points in the last 5 years is acceptable, but would be liable for an additional £400 excess.

No, hirer’s must have a minimum of 12 months driving experience to hire a vehicle from us.

Yes, subject to internal approval.

First time hirer’s will need to provide their photocard driving license (or paper copy), a second form of photo ID (eg. Passport, CSCS Card) and proof of license address dated within the last three months.

The hirer will also need to provide a DVLA Check License code prior to hiring a vehicle.

Additional drivers must also provide the same documentation detailed above.

Acceptable documentation includes a utility bill or bank statement from their licensed address dated within the last three months.

No, driving license must be produced for each hire by every driver.

Yes, we are only able to hire vehicles to people aged 25-72.

Insurance

No our prices do not include insurance, however should insurance be required this is a service we can offer on certain vehicle categories.

Yes, all customers are liable for a £750 insurance excess per each and every incident.

A collision damage waiver is available to be purchased by the hirer to reduce the excess by £250

(CDW is not available to first time hirer’s)

Payment and bookings

Our preferred method of payment is by credit/debit cards (not including American Express).

Cash or Bank Transfer is accepted via internal approval.

Yes, a deposit is required prior to rental.

For first time hirer’s the deposit is £750 for any subsequent hires, it is reduced to £250.

Additional services

Additional drivers can be included for an additional charge of £30 + VAT per week.

Most of our vehicles have in-build Sat-Nav or the capability to connect to your mobile phone.

Should a vehicle not have these options available, we will provide a Sat-Nav free of charge for the duration of hire (subject to availability) 

General enquiries

Yes, we have a limited number of secure parking spaces. However, all vehicles left on site are done so at the owners own risk. Rentruck are not liable for damage sustained whilst parked on our site.

Mon – Friday 8am – 6pm

Saturday Morning 8am-12PM

Bank Holiday may affect these opening times.

Our pick up and return times are from 8am through until 15 minutes before close of business.

No, we do not offer unattended return and have no key-drop facility.

Yes, however the customer must provide their own fully comprehensive insurance policy specific to the hired vehicle covering the full rental duration.
